How to use PEAKE
A simple guide
This page is for league members and the commissioner. You do not need to know fantasy apps. Read the part that matches what you are doing. Short words. Short steps.
If you are completely lost
There are three different links. Mixing them up is why this feels broken.
- This Grok preview — only you. The league cannot open the chat.
- The PEAKE website — you get this when you tap Publish in Grok, outside the preview. That is the app.
- The board link — you make this inside PEAKE on Leagues. That is what you text the league.
CBS is a fourth thing. It is your old league site. PEAKE cannot log into it. Open CBS, copy the roster names, come back here, press Reload rosters. Then PEAKE knows the teams.
1. Open the league link
Someone will send you a link. It looks like a normal web page.
- Tap the link on your phone or open it on a computer.
- You do not have to make an account to watch the draft.
- Leave the page open during the draft so the clock stays in view.
- Turn sound on if you want a beep when bidding starts.
If the page is blank, refresh once. If it is still blank, ask the commissioner for a new link.
2. Pick your team
At the top you will see a menu that says “I am.”
- Open that menu.
- Choose your team name. Example: DAMN QUICK.
- The page will remember your seat on this phone or computer.
Picking your seat does not draft a player. It only tells the page which team is yours.
3. Read the clock
The big bar at the top is the official clock. Everyone sees the same bar.
- BID NOW — gold bar. You may shout a bid in the room or group chat.
- Do not bid — the bar is quiet. Wait. Someone is naming a player, or the clock is off.
- Going once / Going twice — last chance. Bid now or sit.
- Clock is dark — nothing is for sale. Do not bid.
Each clock is five seconds. Nominate. Bid. Once. Twice. The commissioner starts each one by hand. The clock does not start itself after a sale.
4. Watch the draft
Use the buttons under the clock.
- Board — who owns whom. Dollar amounts and years show here.
- Book — public ranks, this week’s games, waiver ideas, start/sit, and a simple trade chip. These are public numbers, not the private Peake list.
- DFS — build a DraftKings or FanDuel lineup.
- Office — cap space, keepers, and full rosters.
- Talk — short league notes. Your group text is still the main chat.
- Commish — only the commissioner types here.
You can switch tabs any time. The clock stays at the top.
5. Commissioner setup
Do this on a computer if you can. A phone works. A computer is easier to type on.
Step A — Open the right league.
- Open PEAKE.
- Tap Leagues. If you do not see Leagues, open the menu at the top.
- Select Real Man Football League. Or select the league you want to share.
- Check the team count. Real Man is 10 teams. Fix it if the number is wrong.
- Check your team name. Example: DAMN QUICK.
- Check scoring. Real Man uses the Real Man book.
Step B — Add the CBS page (optional but useful).
- Open your CBS league in another tab.
- Copy the address from the top of that page. It should start with https://
- Paste it in the box that says CBS league URL.
- This does not log into CBS for you. It only gives you a copy box later so you can update CBS by hand.
Step C — Decide on Sunday DFS.
- Find the check box that says Share Peake DFS with this league.
- Leave it on for Real Man. That is the league that is allowed to use the Sunday book.
- Leave it off for any other league unless the owner said yes.
Step D — Publish the board.
- Press Publish live board. Wait until you see a link and a PIN.
- The board link is what the league opens. Copy it.
- Send the link in the group text. Also send this How this works page.
- The PIN is four numbers. Write it down. Copy it to a note on your phone.
- Give the PIN only to the person who will type sold players. One person is best. Two is fine. The whole league is not.
- Do not put the PIN in the group text.
Step E — Name the teams before draft night.
- Open the board link.
- Tap Commish.
- Type the PIN. Press Unlock desk.
- If team names still say Team 1, Team 2, ask each owner their team name and type them in if your desk lets you. If names are already right, skip this.
- Ask each owner to open the link and pick “I am” plus their team. That is their seat.
Do not do this
- Do not press Publish again in the middle of a live draft. That wipes the board and starts over.
- Do not share the PIN with the room “just in case.”
- Do not start the clock until the room is ready.
6. Draft night checklist
Do this 15 minutes before the first name.
- Open the board link on the computer you will type on.
- Open CBS in another tab if you update CBS the same night.
- Open How this works in a third tab in case someone asks.
- Tap Commish. Type the PIN. Unlock the desk.
- Look at the clock. It should say the clock is dark. That is good. Do not bid.
- Turn sound on so you hear the bid beep.
- Tell the room: “When the bar says BID NOW, bid. When it is dark, wait.”
- Tell the room who nominates first.
- When they name a player, press Nominate 5.
- When the first bid hits, press Bid 5.
You are now running the draft. Section 7 is how each sale works.
7. Enter a sold player
Only the commissioner does this. Unlock Commish with the PIN.
- When a name is up, press Nominate 5.
- When people are bidding, press Bid 5. Press it again if you need a new five seconds.
- When bidding slows, press Once, then Twice.
- When the room agrees, press Sold. The clock goes dark. Nobody should bid.
- In the commissioner box, type the player name.
- Pick the team that won him.
- Type the dollar amount.
- Type the contract years if your league uses years.
- Press the button to save the pick.
- Copy the CBS line if you also update CBS by hand.
Sold stops the clock. Saving the pick writes the name on the board. Do both. If you typed the wrong team, use Undo, then enter it again.
8. Fix a fight about a bid
Someone thinks a bid was in before the clock hit zero. Do not argue from memory.
- Anyone can press Freeze and dispute. Type one short sentence. Example: “Bid was in at 18.”
- The clock freezes. The log gets a time stamp.
- Talk it out. You have two minutes on the dispute clock.
- The commissioner presses Sold — bid stands or Dead — no sale.
- If it stands, enter the player like any other sale.
- If it is dead, nominate the next name.
The log is the record. That is why the clock exists.
9. After the draft
- Office shows money left and who is on each roster.
- Book helps with start/sit and trades using public numbers.
- Talk can hold a note you want on the site, not just in texts.
- You can come back to the same link all season.
10. Sunday DFS
Open DFS on the league link.
- Pick DraftKings or FanDuel.
- Tap a name to add him. Tap again to cut him.
- Fade means “do not put him in auto-fill.”
- Auto cash builds a safer lineup. Auto GPP swings more.
- Tap a stack to add a quarterback and his pass catchers.
- Copy or download CSV when you are done.
If this league is authorized, you see Peake points and roles. If it is not, you see public consensus and Vegas only. Season rankings never show on this link.
11. What stays private
The league link is not the full PEAKE account.
- You get the live board, clock, office, talk, and DFS tools.
- You get public ranks and Vegas week numbers.
- You do not get the private Peake rank list or tape pages.
- Those stay in the owner account. That is on purpose.
Still stuck? Ask the commissioner. They have the PIN and the CBS page. This guide is the same for Real Man and for any league that uses a PEAKE board later.
